DETAILED ITINERARY:

DAY 1: FES - IFRANE SKI RESORT – CEDAR FOREST NEAR AZROU - MIDELT - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA DESERT:

Morocco Mountain Treks organize private tour from Fes to Merzouga desert , with everyday departure with professional drivers, local and experienced Sahara guides to explore Middle Atlas,desert and valleys. Pick up from your hotel in Fes , then we visit Ifrane, and we continue exploring Middle Atlas mountains near Azrou to watch the monkeys in the cedar forest. After lunch in Midelt we cross the pass of “TIZI n TALGHAMT”, we drive to Aoufous and Erfoud - famous for fossils and dates. We arrive to Merzouga and we stay overnight in the hotel with dinner.

DAY 2: MERZOUGA DESERT TOUR , VISIT GNAWA VILLAGE OF KHAMLIA – CAMEL RIDE TO DESERT CAMP:

This morning after breakfast in the hotel.You will have a tour of the dunes on 4x4 allowing you to visit the black volcanic rocks of fossils, visit a nomad family living in tent, visit to Khamlia village and entertainment of their spiritual music of Gnawa, and visit the lake Dayte Sarji that forms in springtime which attract pink flamingos and wildlife. Then you will have a break for lunch in Merzouga or Hassi Labied. After lunch you will see the canal irrigation system and have a walk on the oasis located on the foot of the dunes. Continue to your hotel for relax. Arrive to the hotel and get ready for a camel trek for an hour and half to enjoy the sunset. While on the back of your dromedary, you will continue to the camp for an overnight in traditional nomad tent. Dinner and spend the night in a bivouac in the middle of the dunes.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA DESERT - ERFOUD - TODGHA GORGES -DADES GORGES:

After enjoying the sunrise on the top of the dune in the Sahara Desert then have your breakfast. We will ride your camel back to the hotel where you can shower. We depart towards Erfoud and Tinejdad - having a break for lunch. In the afternoon, we will continue to Tinghir and Todgha Gorges to enjoy its rock canyon views while hiking on foot. Later on, we drive to Dades Valley for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 4: DADES VALLEY - KELAA M’GOUNA - OUARZAZATE - KASBAH OF AIT BENHADDOU:

Today our Fes to Marrakech tour continues to Skoura and Ouarzazate. We explore “kasbah of Taourirt” , and Atlas film studios. We visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou in guided excursion and we stay overnight in local riad.

DAY 5: AIT BENHADDOU TO MARRAKECH:

Today after breakfast we cross the mountains of High Atlas. We pass through the Tizi n'Tichka pass to reach Marrakech where we drop you off at your hotel. Thank you for travel with Morocco Mountain Treks - private everyday excursions from Fes.
